Hannah Traore Gallery is a space committed to advocating for and celebrating artists, providing a generative space for experimentation, risk taking, and creative evolution. In collaborating with artists from around the world, we prioritize cultivating an environment where ambition can take shape, knowing critical breakthroughs often emerge through inquiry and exploration.

Understanding that fine art is inseparable from design, fashion, and media culture, Hannah Traore Gallery expands the boundaries of exhibition making to create points of access to encounter art in unexpected ways. Simultaneously, HTG recognizes its role in the broader Lower East Side community and fosters thoughtful partnerships with our neighbors grounded in care, accountability, and shared cultural growth. We believe that a gallery should not only exhibit artwork but serve the community that sustains it.

We acknowledge that we exist on Lenapehoking, the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territory of the Lenape (Munsee and Unami) peoples, who have been stewards of these lands long before this city was founded. We also recognize that this land has been historically inhabited and used by other Indigenous peoples, including the Wecquaesgeek, Wappinger, Siwanoy, and other Munsee-speaking bands.

We pay respect to past, present, and future generations of these Native Nations, and honor the enduring relationships they maintain with this land.
